I'm going to experiment with staying logged in when I'm asleep, at higher rates, but waking up to take calls if they come in. I have a few seconds of information from Madge (the NiteFlirt automated voice, named after the woman who did the computer's voice in Star Trek, Gene Roddenberry's wife, Majel Barrett) to shake off the sleepies and find my sexy.
Probably my notes will suffer. Chances are excellent I won't remember names, although I'll be falling asleep repeating the mantra of "I remember names well, especially when I am tired." I'll have caffeine in the fuckatorium for immediate consumption.
The good thing is that I usually wake up snuggly, which transitions nicely to sexy, so as long as complete coherence is not required, I should be in good shape.

I do this sometimes, but it's not something you can do all the time. We have to enter REM sleep in order to feel rested and be our best, and if you're getting calls more than once an hour, it won't happen.
ReplyDeleteChloe, thank you so much for dropping by the blog and leaving me your wisdom! For better or worse, I tend to get very few calls in the middle of the night. And when the rate is over $1.99 / minute, people don't find you through just the phone - it has to be via the web. So far so good - two nice calls, no sleep-deprived psychoses :)

ReplyDeleteI think I only took notes on clients for the first couple of months I did this. After awhile, I got a lot better at remembering people, names, etc.,
I like the template for your blog. I went with the girly girl thing, but the bold colors in yours are intriguing. :D
Chloe: I have to take notes, it's habit from having to cover my ass as a business analyst. At the start of the call, it's a name, then after the call, it's a few words to trigger my memory. Notes have gotten much shorter though - my memory does most of it.
ReplyDeleteMy first pictures, I was in green lingerie, and I wanted the site to match. Then I found the Vegas background, and had already decided on "Chance It" as a title, and I picked other colors around that, making sure to test for red-green color blindness (cuz I'm a dork). I would need a really compelling image to redesign, I think. It's such a pain :)
