Feedback Nightmare & Epilogue

Feedback Nightmare
a play in One Act, plus Epilogue
by Galiana Chance
closely based on a very true story

ACT ONE

GALIANA, 40, pleasantly pudgy with casual sexual confidence, lays asleep on her half of her comfortable queen-sized bed. Her HUSBAND, just shy of his 41st birthday, attempts to slip into bed beside her, unnoticed.

Galiana (sleepily, reaching for him):
I had a nightmare...
Husband (unsure if she's talking in her sleep):
What happened?
Galiana:
Someone left me feedback. Bad feedback. It was one-star. He said I wasn't committed because I wasn't available. He didn't know we're packing, we're moving...
Husband (resting his hand on her cheek):
Fuck your dream makers, honey. Fuck them in half. We're okay.
Galiana (grinning as she drifts back to sleep):
Mmmhmmm.

Commentary: I usually have stress dreams during stressful times. We're packing and moving right now. It's stressful. The stress dream was not a surprise. However, its manifestation as stress about my feedback was a surprise, although maybe it shouldn't have been.

EPILOGUE

A few hours later. HUSBAND lays asleep on the bed as GALIANA attempts to slip in beside him, unnoticed.

Husband (nowhere near fully awake):
Are you okay?
Galiana:
I'm fine. I just went potty and got some Aleve.
Husband:
Why did you need leaves?
Galiana:
Aleve. I didn't want my back to get sore. The blue pain pill, Aleve.
Husband (with a sleepy grin):
Are you having salad?
Galiana (patting him condescendingly):
Yes. That's exactly right. Leaves for a salad.
Husband (snuggling up to her):
Why are you talking so much? You should be quiet now.
Galiana (grinning):
Mmmhmmm. Sorry, love.
Husband:
You're horrible at being quiet. I give you one star. Too loud. Too many salads.

Galiana stifles a giggle, only somewhat successfully, remembering the first night they spent together, which was about three hours of delicious fucking followed by an hour of giggling too hard to sleep, mostly fueled by the will-never-be-as-funny-to-anyone-else punchline, "Did you try to teach that sumbitch octopus to ride a bicycle?"

Galiana drifts back to sleep, oddly comforted.

The nightmares do not return.

New Feedback Page

I have published a new page with some of my favorite feedback comments:
http://galianachance.blogspot.com/p/feedback.html

So far it has very few comments. I kept getting interrupted last night / early this morning by having awesome calls (nice problem to have!), so I didn't get far. But I wanted to go ahead and publish it so I could knock something off my to-do list, because I have too many to-do items rattling around in my brain again.

My "plan" is to add comments sporadically, whenever I need the insecurity-eliminating boost of confidence I get by sorting through nice things people have said about me. How often do I need that kind of encouragement? Would it be bad to admit: almost every day?

I've added little comments about the feedback. Because I can't help myself. Seriously, I would get so many more packages of pictures published for sale if I didn't want to add little running commentaries. But hey, words are my thing, right?

Anyway, aside from my peccadilloes...

Please let me know if you want a specific feedback of yours included, or if you do not want your feedback ever to show up on that page, or if you want me to attribute to your username on the page (by default I'm only specifying the date and the listing).

This feels like one of those bizarre activities that is intelligent marketing mixed with extraordinary narcissism. Am I doing this for callers? Or for me? Am I trying to encourage callers to leave me articulate and specific feedback because it's good for business, or my ego? Such an odd job.

Strap-On Feedback

Someone bought my strap-on pictures (information here), and left this feedback:
"The cuddliest dom ever. Peg me anytime."
Is it wrong that I think that's adorable?

Me Stalking You

I admit it: sometimes I comment-stalk you. I'd never let it go to anything more serious, I promise. I swear.

The service is kind enough to allow the site to be indexed, so if I search on a user name, plus the name of the service, plus feedback, I can find feedback you've left for other phone sex operators.

Sometimes I'm surprised by who you've chosen. Really? Her? But she seems so... well... not like me. In any way whatsoever. She seems pretty much the opposite of Smart and Fun and Creative and Sex-Positive. How could you like me and also like dumb and mean and single-minded and a tease? (stricken because that was mean to say, but comments won't make sense without it)

Sometimes I'm surprised by the date. Wow, that was after our first conversation. Was I not available? Did I do something wrong? Or are you, like me, just never going to be satisfied with only one flavor of ice cream?

Sometimes I'm surprised because you've lied to me. You said you'd write me to schedule a time to call me as soon as work got less busy, but you didn't, and yet... here's feedback for someone. If there's not a reasonable explanation, then why would you feel the need to lie to a phone sex operator?

Sometimes I'm surprised you ever called me. You seem enamored of her, over a long period of time, and she's still working. Did you have a falling out? Did you add me to your repertoire, or did you just drop her for me (heaven forbid)?

Sometimes I'm surprised, and a little embarrassed, because I get a little jealous of the review you wrote. You haven't gotten that specific / enthusiastic / long-winded / effusive / poetic / elegant in your feedback of me... why not? It's a ridiculous response, I know, and I'm sorry.

None of these are appropriate to ask when we talk. It's your money, your phone call,  you decide the conversational direction. If I have questions about your phone sex history, I probably need to keep them to myself.

I've heard that sometimes phone sex providers get jealous or possessive about their callers. That confuses me, because I seem to be lacking the genetic material to care whether or not my partner(s) are involved with other partner(s). But I absolutely have a competitive urge: what does she do better than me and how can I improve?

So I'm not possessive, but I do have a ravenous desire to know about your phone sex experiences with other providers, because I only know the calls that come to me, and the only way I'll learn more about my own industry is to hear your stories. So if you don't mind telling me, but don't want to use phone time, shoot me an email and tell me - I'm FASCINATED to know!

Feedback Slut

Hello, I'm Galiana. And I'm a Feedback Slut. (Helloooooo Galiana!)

Yes, of course, I love the official feedback - the kind that raises my ratings, bumps me up listings, and gives me a permanent pick-me-up (my "My Feedback" page is where I go when I haven't had a call for 3 hours to remind myself that sometimes people call me and like talking with me). That feedback is obviously beneficial, and I love it a LOT.

My favorite official feedback has to be from phonejack35 who said, "I never talk to girls after i cum but i talked to Galiana for awhile...could have talked all day. Such an awesome body...think i'm in love:)" Awwwww - there's even a smiley face! How could I not love that SO MUCH?

The positive official feedback also led to one of my favorite conversation-starters, from a gentleman I'll call "Perv Card", who started our first phone call by saying, "I've been reading your feedback, and, well, frankly, I'd be kind of a dumbass not to call." Thank goodness I wasn't drinking anything when he said that, or I would have spit it all over the place from laughing so hard!

But my other craving is real-time feedback. It takes everything in me to keep from asking these questions constantly: Is this okay? Are you enjoying yourself? What can I improve? What else can I be doing? Do I need to pick up the pace? Slow down and give more lingering details?

Sometimes I break down and ask, but never more than once per conversation. On calls where I'm submissive, I'll beg to be told I'm a good pet/slave/slut. On calls where I'm in charge, I'll make them tell me how turned on they are, or ask what they want more of (and then toy with that a bit... I do relish a good cat and mouse dynamic). If the call is interrupted to add more time, when we come back, I might ask "Is this what you want? Anything I need to shift?" before we restart.

And at the end of calls, I frequently invite callers to let me know before our next call if they want anything differently. If I know, I can adjust: I can get meaner, sweeter, nastier, faster, slower, louder, softer, breathier, more intense, beg more, panic less, talk less (Ummmm... Hmmmm. Really? You can talk less? Wellllll. Maybe. Sometimes. Although now that I think of it, "Bondage J" did keep having to tighten my gag... He said it was cute when I tried to talk, though, so I didn't know whether to keep trying to talk, or give up and just whimper... It's confusing sometimes!).

So yes, I crave adjustment feedback, whether it's direct, "Galiana, actually, maybe talk dirtier to me and call me more names" or subtle-in-character, "Now just calm down, Galiana, we'll work out a way for you to pass the semester, but just stop panicking and breathe." Or after the fact, so I can take notes to jog my memory  for next time (yes, I will read your notes to you if you ask!)

But also, of course, I crave the positive real-time feedback. "Good girl" or "That was fantastic" or "Damn, I just made a huge mess over here, wow."

Or of course, the very best: "I can't wait to call you again." /melt
